Asdrubael Vect and his Court Painted!
This has been a long time coming. I finally finished my custom Vect figure and his adjacent court. These are the first figures I've painted in over 4 months, ever since my son was born.
I figured it was time to get back in the saddle.
WIP shots of Vect can be found HERE

All these figures have my own take on the Black Heart scheme mixed in with my preexisting proclivities towards certain colors when pertaining to the Dark Kin (AKA Warlock Purple to subtly tie in the Slaanesh aspect). I airbrushed the weapons blue glow as well as the Medusae eye glow and Lhamheans poison canisters on their backs. Anywhere where skin was showing I tinted it with purple to keep in theme with my previous DE.

seriously amazing work mate, inspiring stuff.
ReplyDeleteLoving the squad. Can't think of anything really to add to that...the Sslyths were excellent just as WIP and the Ur-ghuls are just creepy.
ReplyDeleteSweeeeeeeeet. Love how they all came together, the Ur-Ghuls are delightfully creepy and the medusae turned out brilliant. Can't wait to see what's next!
ReplyDeleteFantasic work as always! Especially love your Vect! Good to see you back!
ReplyDeleteAmazing work man the squad looks great. How did you get the stone look for the statue Vect is standing on if you don't mind me asking?
ReplyDeleteDamn fine work and congrats on the baby.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! They look great as a group
ReplyDeleteVery well done. Super vibrant, I really like what you've done by having great, lively colors yet keep the sinister look.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliments everyone!
ReplyDelete@Drkmorals: Here's the formula.
1. Basecoat: Astronomicon Grey
2. Drybrush: Dhened Stone
3. Wash: Graveyard earth
4. Wash: Beastial Brown
(Only in the deep shadow areas)
5. Wash: Vermin Brown
(only in select areas as well)
6. Drybrush: Dheneb stone
(very light drybrush)
7. Drybrush of 50/50 Dheneb Stone & White
(very light drybrush)
Hope that explains it well.
Wonderfully colourful. Excellent.
