Plotting and Scheming

First off

Let this illustration be a clue to a new army I'm scheming up right now.
All I have to say is it's going to be Chaotic... ;)

I'm planning on starting to paint the Dark Eldar Dragon Rider this weekend and in preparation I've color coded a picture of bat wings to give me a visual reference when I'm airbrushing the dragons wings. My initial thought was going with my standard warlock purple / fuschia but then I thought about bright reptilian green.

So I ask everyone out there for an opinion, Pink or Green wings? I'm 50/50 right now.

Voting is still going on for a few more days on MWC. If you haven't voted yet, please go over there and take a min to do so. I love this conversion contest and I want to see it continue and get the support it deserves. CLICK HERE

The next time I update it will be the first stages of my Chaos Titan Project. In the mean time here's a teaser.

  1. Where did you get that awesome logo?
    The octo-roger is great!

  2. I drew it up today.

Now give me an opinion on wing colors for my Dark Eldar Dragon ;)

  3. It depends on your other colors. More toward red, go purple. More toward yellow, go green.

  4. Purple's my favorite color, so I say the pink/purple you've got there.

  5. I think if you want to tie it in with your existing DE, definitely go with the purple. On the other hand, if you want to do the 'evil exodite ally' thing I'd definitely go with the rather nicely contrasting green.

Big ol' box of goodies for your new army will be inbound tomorrow, just boxed 'em up for you. Pics of your banners in process on the Thousand Sons soon!

  6. Kraken-roger or Cthulhu-roger?

Thematically for the rest of your army I would say the purple/pink would be best. Especially if you go with a Black Dragon

  7. Okay let me clarify... This Dragon Rider is a lone Merc with no ties to the rest of my army. That being said still purple? Cause the green is looking better and better.

    Thanks for the comments guys!
