This is an image in the Forgeworld Horus Heresy that depicts a Sons of Horus legionnaires in a mixed armor suit. I LOVE the way this guy looks and decided to mimic an entire unit after him.
The squad is a combination of MKII torsos, MK III legs, MKII & III arms, MKIII & IV backpacks, Maxmini tabbards and some plastic chaos heads. There was some minor detailing added to each figure to personalize them as well such as spikes made from toothpicks or skulls on chains.
Sweeeeeeeeet. Love the mixed armour look, really gives 'em a heavy, brutish look. Dig the additional spikes and skulls as well!
