"There are horrors beyond life's edge that we do not suspect,
and once in a while man's evil prying calls them just within our range."
Painting Mariner's Blight is massively underway and here's the first finished model, Lord Obeddon Marsh.
I think he turned out nice and crusty. WIP's can be found HERE
BTW, I used a bastardized version of your bat-wing painting process. And I have to say I like the results a lot. Not quite as detailed as yours, but better than I would have done without your tutorial!
Awesome! Glad my tutorial helped out :DDelete

I like the effect of moss, really it seems that they happen a lot of time under the water. If you allow me a comment, I would apply in some parts of the miniature a bit of effect water or brilliant glaze, to obtain in the miniature an effect of wetted.ReplyDelete
A good work, regards.
The anchor totally makes this for me, it turned out great. We going to see a whole army shot in the near future?ReplyDelete
Thanks! I'm working on a rather elaborate display diorama for the whole army, so yeah when that's done there will be tons of army shots :DDelete
Very, very cool man! Absolutely love how that turned out - the verdigris and rust effects are outstanding!ReplyDelete
I'm obsessed with bronze patina. Don't know why, but it's just so beautiful to me :)Delete
Straight from the depths. I love his bone/shell sword!ReplyDelete
Thanks Dave! It's always an honor to have your opinion on my work :)Delete
Fantastic work, man! I can almost forgive you for defiling that lovely Zhufor model ;-)ReplyDelete
I cannot wait to see the rest of the army! Keep up the great work!
I'm sorry I chopped Zhufor up...but I needed the largest terminator Model I could find :P

Hi, I'm a big supported of your work and this particular piece made me cry 'wow'. It's the cape that makes it for me. How did you get it to flow so well? I'm always trying greenstuff capes and they never come out well. Excellent stuff, I'll keep watching :)ReplyDelete
The cape was actually part of the Forge World Zhufor model I used as base :)
AWESOME! So many great elements to this guy. The big bonesword looks terrible (as in terrible for your enemies, as in awesome!), the squid emblems on his cape, the skeletal standard with coat, and the anchor -- as a sailor myself, i really appreciate those details.ReplyDelete
