EoE's Fresh New Look for the Winter

Every few months I get the urge to redesign my blog.  It's part of my never content with anything attitude. This redesign was crazy though cause I completely 180˚ in 24hrs.

I started with designing a fresh new logo, something edgier.

Then I created a whole new background featuring some of the best work I've done recently.

But I wasn't happy with this for some reason and I couldn't put my finger on it. I slept on it overnight and the next morning I realized I needed to flip it. Inverse the colors, clean up the site, simplify it and tighten it up all around. And that's where we stand today, the new look.

Bottom Line, it's okay to trash a whole days work to get a better end result.

Also don't forget about my Chaos Plaguereaper / Baneblade Ebay Auction HERE
2 Days left to go.

  1. I'm also a fan of a clean looking blog, so "I like what you've done with the place!"

  2. Agreed - I really dig the new slick look - which sort of echoes the design philosophy GW seems to have adopted recently. Actually I think you could clean it up even further and get rid of the rather unecessary emboss effect on the logo.

The plagueblade rocks by the way!

  3. I love the new logo! Personally, I'd drop the bevel on top and give it some very subtle texture to give it that 'ink-stamp' look, but that's just me. The new, brighter format is much easier to read in general. Great work!

  6. Excellent stylistic choice! Though I love your models, that composite banner with all the different photos would just have been crazy busy, and it probably wouldn't have worked. At all. So yeah, hooray for simple elegance! :)
