Space Marine Spectre Diorama

I started this diorama about 6yrs ago when I first got into Warhammer 40k. It was inspired by a White Dwarf article that had 4th edition rules for using spectre's on the battle field.

Recently I got the inspiration to bring it out of storage and finally finish paint it. This was my first attempt at freehand painting a banner and only my second attempt at OLS painting.

When deciding what chapter to make the Spectre, I did a little research and found out that the Warhawks chapter was all but lost at the hands of the Word Bearers so that's what inspired the banner design and the red Khornanite helmet.

All in all I'm content with the results, I could do better next time, but I did learn a great deal form this test model.

  1. Fantastic Diorama dude really good job with the light source effects :) , saw it on the competition thread over on the Ammo Bunker then saw the whole argument about entries start so didn't post.

Don't worry about that tho, Keravin just likes to moan and be picky at times :P

  2. Specterrific!
I hope my own attempts at source lighting come out half as good.

  3. Thanks for the compliments guys!

I was a bit annoyed at Keravins' whining over on ammobunker, but alas, it's not my problem really.

I just wanted to paint up a nice diorama and improve some techniques I wasn't too good at.
