Lord Obeddon Marsh Finished

"There are horrors beyond life's edge that we do not suspect,
and once in a while man's evil prying calls them just within our range."
-H.P. Lovecraft

Painting Mariner's Blight is massively underway and here's the first finished model, Lord Obeddon Marsh.

I think he turned out nice and crusty. WIP's can be found HERE

  1. Frakking awesome!

BTW, I used a bastardized version of your bat-wing painting process. And I have to say I like the results a lot. Not quite as detailed as yours, but better than I would have done without your tutorial!

  2. I like the effect of moss, really it seems that they happen a lot of time under the water. If you allow me a comment, I would apply in some parts of the miniature a bit of effect water or brilliant glaze, to obtain in the miniature an effect of wetted.

    A good work, regards.

  3. The anchor totally makes this for me, it turned out great. We going to see a whole army shot in the near future?

    1. Thanks! I'm working on a rather elaborate display diorama for the whole army, so yeah when that's done there will be tons of army shots :D

    1. I'm obsessed with bronze patina. Don't know why, but it's just so beautiful to me :)

  8. Hi, I'm a big supported of your work and this particular piece made me cry 'wow'. It's the cape that makes it for me. How did you get it to flow so well? I'm always trying greenstuff capes and they never come out well. Excellent stuff, I'll keep watching :)

    1. Thanks! :)
The cape was actually part of the Forge World Zhufor model I used as base :)

  9. AWESOME! So many great elements to this guy. The big bonesword looks terrible (as in terrible for your enemies, as in awesome!), the squid emblems on his cape, the skeletal standard with coat, and the anchor -- as a sailor myself, i really appreciate those details.
