The thing with trying to capture inspiration for a new 40k project is that one tends to "stay in the box" when searching for inspiration being that there is a  MASSIVE amount of reference to 40k and other wargames online. It's been a few weeks since I added anything for Mariners Blight. I moved my family to a new house in Dirty Jerz, 3x the size of what we lived in Philly. The same week I started a new higher paying job as a Design Director working from home and needless to say it's been hectic. The past few days things have settled down and I've had the chance to get creative (In a non-dayjob fashion) and here's the result.

This is a new army I've been working on in secret; Mariners Blight.

They are a maritime inspired Lovecraftian Chaos Marine Army combining inspiration from The Shadow over Innsmouth as well as the Cthulhu mythos with 1800's style diving suits and nautical details.

Here's 2 units of warriors for my Necron Army. First the regular warriors can be simply modified to match the new plastics by using leftover Gauss tubes from Immortal Gauss Cannons. While I was at it I decided to swap the axe like blades with the bayonet like blades from the Gauss Cannons.
